Undergraduate Opportunities
Research Experiences for Undergraduates Program - The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program at AMNH offers paid summer internships for qualified undergraduate students to conduct research projects with AMNH scientists in either evolutionary biology or physical sciences. Prospective PhD Students
The Goodheart lab will be recruiting PhD students as of Fall 2022. Initially, most opportunities for applying will be through the Comparative Biology Ph.D. program through the Richard Guilder Graduate School at AMNH. Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program - The Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Programs of the AMNH are designed to advance the training of each participant by having them pursue a specific, time-limited project in association with Museum professionals in the Museum setting. - Kade Fellowship, to support graduate student exchanges between AMNH and French or German institutions.
- Lerner-Gray Marine Research Grants, open to all early career researchers (including all doctoral students) proposing to conduct research in systematics, evolution, ecology, zoology or paleontology of marine life and environments
- Collection Study Grants, which enable pre-doctoral, current/recent postdoctoral investigators and other early career research scientists to study the scientific collections at the American Museum of Natural History
- Sydney Anderson Travel Award, for RGGS students only
